Note: Original Red Paint actually stained the wood

Coin door area also had some Red Stain that had to be sanded out!

Back cleaned, sanded, and ready to go!

THREE Days to apply THREE coats of the BASE COLOR
June 19th, 20th, & 21st
Three Coats of Base Color. 16 hours of dry time between coats
Note: Custom Color Premium Paint. Has epoxy in it and resists scratching and can be washed.
Day 7
June 22nd
Applied Red Stencils and completed RED cabinet color
Note: Premask on stencil insures that the stencil is applied with perfect alignment everytime.

Crystal is working out some air pockets with a plastic squeegee

Time for Jeff to Start Painting. I found a great "micro" roller that is made specifically for smooth
surfaces. It works fantastic and the end result looks like it was sprayed.

Side one is done and looks FANTASTIC!.. Let's do the rest of the game

Look how CRISP the edges are! Absolutely no Bleed through with this paint mask!

Opposite Side. This Premium Paint Mask "Absorbs" the paint and does not leak or bleed through!

Go ahead an spread the paint on. THIS PAINT MASK WILL NOT RUN OR BLEED! Here's the proof!

Side #2 is done! It looks FANTASTIC. Crisp sharp edges. Spot On!

Once I put a nice coat down, I roll over it several times to "smooth" it out

Day 8
June 23rd
Applied White Stencils and completed White cabinet color
Note: Premask on stencil insures that the stencil is applied with perfect alignment everytime.


Crystal is working out some minor air bubbles with the plastic squeegee


Apply some painter's tape around stencil in case you get sloppy with the roller ;-)

Once Stencil is in place, remove transfer tape and start painting!!!!

I put a pretty thick coat of white then rolled over it several times to "smooth" the coat.

CABINET IS NOW DONE!!!


Day 9
June 24th
Completely Stripped and Prepared Backbox For Base Color
Note: After paint is removed, I used 200 grit sandpaper to prepare surface for painting
A lot of patience is required for this phase. All of the paint will come off. It just takes time!

Top is completely stripped of paint!

Head is repaired, sanded, and ready for the base color! ( Left Side )

LAST Stencil to Go! Red Stencil for HEAD!


Put the paint on as heavy as you like. This paint mask does not bleed through!


AFTER ALMOST 3 FULL WEEKS OF WORK, THE GAME IS DONE!
The Game Looks Fantastic!
I installed a NOS Glass to Make the game look as good as the cabinet!
